EMA Partners International Elects New Chairman

EMA Partners International has elected Mr. Javier Guillén, Partner of EMA office in Barcelona, as a new Chairman, in the annual meeting held last September 25, 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Guillén replaces the Canadian George Madden.

After his election, Mr. Guillén declared: “My priorities shall be to develop international business for each of the firms integrated into EMA Partners International, to spread EMA Partners International to new cities in Asia-Pacific and East of Europe and to improve the quality of executive search.”

According to Mr. Guillén, “It is just to take the actions followed by former Chairmen (George Madden and Wolfgang Gloderer) and focus EMA’s interests in the client. For improving quality, we should exchange experiences between other EMA members, for all of us to take a profit from best practices of local firms in different areas.”

Javier Guillén Barona had already been Vice-President and previously, he had been the European Coordinator of EMA. He is a Chemical Engineer and has a MBA in Business Administration at IESE. Mr. Guillén joined EMA as a partner-consultant in 1989.
