Based
in Houston, John is the co-founder and Chief Administrative
Officer of Tecton Energy, LLC and Tecton Canada,
ULC. He leads Business Development and is a Director
of both companies as well as the Company's European
subsidiary, TecCo SARL. Prior to co-founding Tecton
with former Samson Canada President, Bill Dirks,
he was a highly regarded Management Consultant
and Executive Recruiter where he built and led
Global Energy and Natural Resources practices
for such firms as Heidrick & Struggles.
Prior
to his retirement from consulting, he led such
high profile energy consulting assignments as
the formation of the Spirit Energy division of
Unocal and the recruitment of Ron Brenneman as
CEO of PetroCanada. Earlier he was a senior executive
in the Oil & Gas Industry. He is a frequent
speaker and contributor on energy issues and active
in civic and community affairs.
Served
as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Shell Technology
Ventures, the technology development subsidiary
of Royal Dutch Shell, the Points of Light Foundation
and numerous other organizations in both for profit
and not-for-profit organizations.
John's advisory capacity provides Coe & Company
with detailed and wide-ranging insight into the
global energy and natural resources sector and
global search best practices.
