Based
in Calgary, Alberta, Bill is a professional engineer
who has dedicated much of his 25-year career to
air, water, wastewater and environmental infrastructure
projects throughout North America. Most recently,
he was a vice president with Earth Tech responsible
for the design, build and operation of treatment
plants in California, Arizona, Washington State,
Guam, BC and Alberta. He was also responsible
for outsourced operations contracts for the Edmonton
Compost Facility (one of the worlds largest
garbage composters) and the Swan Hills hazardous
waste treatment plant (Canadas largest PCB
incinerator).
Bill
is heavily involved with Albertas Water
For Life Strategy, both as Chair of the Bow River
Basin Council and a ministerial appointee to the
Alberta Water Council. In these roles, he deals
with water users, ecological organizations, local,
provincial and federal government officials on
a wide variety of issues related to conservation
and efficiency of water use.
Bill
has worked closely with Treaty 7 and Treaty 8
First Nations on a variety of initiatives related
to environmental protection and sustainability.
His work with diverse stakeholder groups has given
him a keen perspective on developing sustaining
partnerships which are sensitive to both cultural
and business needs.
In
his advisory role, Bill helps Coe & Company
provide insights related to government, First
Nations and industry with an emphasis on sustainable
infrastructure and water management.
